It's grey and rainy here this morning - yea! We have been so dry and hot this summer that rain is welcomed, and non sunny days are a rare treat.
Well, Vacation Bible School starts on Sunday. I'm co-running the preschool part. It's that darn helium arm...rises up and volunteers me when I don't want it to. No, it'll be good, and fun, and exhausting and aggravating and lovely all at the same time, jumbled in together. Just like real life, eh?
The theme this year is Seregenti Trek. Very minimalist, which means easy decorating, wahoo! I said next year, why don't they do the artic - white paper with a black spot for the polar bear's nose. Works for me.
I keep trying to insist that smart alecness is a spiritual gift but no one believes me ;)
Orders have raised their ugly little head again. No, not religous ones, Navy ones! We really need to make a decision. And its a move once or move three times or be without den for a year or go overseas and then move lots kind of decision. Much easier when it is a pick a or b type.So does he go away for a year, then come back and take orders where we want them? Or do we move overseas, then move again back here then move again when he retires??? AGGHHHHH. If he can find a 'hard fill' job (orders no one wants...not necessarily bad ones, just ones no one wants) then he could do those and not have to go out to sea or overseas. Then we would still move one more time probably.I keep thinking that the perfect orders will suddenly appear and make it all transparent. The problem is that these orders all lead us up to retirement time, and its trying to be in the right place, etc.
Well, it's breakfast time and I've got to go be a short order cook for awhile. My other issue is getting organized for Homeschooling this year. I need another bookcase or something. That, however, is fairly easily solved. Oh, and our pool is icky. So i'm supposed to take a water sample in to the pool place. Pools are a pain occasionally!
